LME plastics prices are transparent and regulated foward looking reference prices for the plastics industry. They represent transactions from participants throughout the value chain including producers, distributors, convertors and consumers.
The LME publishes daily official plastics prices (both bid and offer) for both polypropylene (PP) and linear low density polyethylene (LL) for Cash, Month 1 and Month 2 for each contract.
Official prices established are basis open-outcry trading at the end of the first ring session of the day. The settlement price is the official cash seller’s price (offer) published at the end of the first ring session each day. LCH.Clearnet uses the settlement price to settle contracts falling due.
Official prices from the LME are available in real-time or on a 30 minute delayed basis from LMElive and licensed data vendors or next day from our Free Data Service.
Daily closing prices established as per current LME system, basis open-outcry in the last ring trading session of the day known as the ‘kerb’. The LME publishes closing prices at the close of business on each trading day. LCH.Clearnet uses the closing prices when determining margin requirements at the close of business for each day.
Official prices from the LME are available in real-time or on a 30 minute delayed basis from LMElive and licensed data vendors .
